Protection against picking
Specially shaped mushroom housing pins in all Grundmann cylinders provide a barrier against probing and picking attempts.
Housing pin lengths vary depending on the length of the corresponding barrel pins which hinders the pressing down by special picking tools, of the housing and barrel pins below the shear line. The sharp 'Paracentrie' zig-zag shape of AP2000 cylinder keyway provides protection against the insertion of picking tools.

Protection against wrench/chisel attack
Grundmann's comprehensive range (over 25 different sized Euro Profile Double and in excess of 35 Knob-Turn Cylinders) ensures that the correct size can be specified. No more than 2.5mm of cylinder projection from the rosette or door furniture is recommended.
Protection against drilling
Two pressed in hardened steel pins within the cylinder housing (coloured red) Two rotatable hardened steel pins within the cylinder barrel (coloured red) Two further hardened steel pins (coloured blue) one each in the barrel and the housing, may be specified for even further protection.
