Most of the high security padlocks will have a rating, the CEN rating or the Sold Secure. CEN ratings for padlocks start at 2 for medium security padlocks and finish with the highest rating of 6. CEN ratings are given to padlocks that meet certain requirements and are not tested to these ratings by an independent testing facility. Sold Secure ratings are given by Sold Secure after they have tested each product under vigorous conditions, they force, cut, burn, drill, snap...etc and if the product lasts a certain amount of time or a certain level of force it gains the Bronze, Silver or Gold ratings.

Yes, these locks are stocked as Keyed Alike (KA) units from the 2703 key series. Additionally, the mechanism is fully rekeyable, allowing you to change the lock to a new key if your security requirements change in the future.

By default, this padlock is key retaining, which ensures the key cannot be removed while the shackle is in the open position. This feature is designed to prevent users from accidentally leaving the lock unsecured. However, it can be adapted to a non-key-retaining function using specialist tools.
