When ordering multiple Keyed Alike locks, only 1 set of keys are provided as all additional locks are made to work from that key.
If ordering 4 or more keyed alike locks you can have them set up as different groups. If Required: Let us know the details in the "Specific Key Requirements" field above.
Each group of locks will then receive keys.
The Asec Electric Mortice Release is a robust electronic door strike designed to replace a standard strike plate, enabling electronic control of a manual mortice lock. By integrating this component into a door frame, users can manage access remotely through various security interfaces including intercom systems, digital keypads, or remote desk switches.
Typically used in commercial buildings, flatted developments, and secure residential entries, this release is specifically engineered for use with timber door frames. It functions by releasing the latch bolt of a mortice nightlatch when an electrical signal is received, allowing the door to be opened without a key. This makes it an essential component for upgrading existing manual locking hardware to a modern access control system.
This unit is designed to be hard-wired into a building's security infrastructure and is compatible with standard low-voltage power controllers. It is a versatile solution for both new installations and the retrofit of existing doors where electronic locking is required without replacing the entire lock case.
The A21 model is fail-secure, meaning the door remains locked if power is lost. The A25 model is fail-safe, which means it will automatically unlock during a power failure, making it suitable for specific fire safety or emergency exit requirements.
The Asec electric mortice release is designed to work in conjunction with most standard UK mortice locks. It replaces the traditional strike plate in the door frame to enable electronic remote unlocking of the latch.
These units typically operate on a 12V DC power supply. It is important to ensure your access control system or transformer provides the correct voltage to ensure reliable operation and prevent damage to the solenoid.
Yes, the Asec A21 and A25 series feature a reversible design. This allows the unit to be installed on both left-hand and right-hand opening doors, providing flexibility during installation.
