Asec Garage Door Bolts (Pair)

Kit contains :- 2 x Lock bodies 2 x Bolt receiving tubes 4 x Fixing bolts and nuts 2 x Keys 2 x Escutcheon plates 4 x Wood screws FITTING INSTRUCTIONS (included in kit) 1. Position each garage door bolt at the bottom corners of the garage door approximately 250mm up from the floor and 20mm away from the edge (See diagram) 2. Hold each garage bolt in position and mark on the door the positions for the 2 fixings holes and key hole. 3. Drill 11 mm holes for the fixing bolts and 8mm holes for the key 4. Securely fix each garage bolt in place using the bolts provided. If the bolts are too long simply cut the protruding end off after the nuts have been secured. 5. Place each escutcheon on the key and insert the key into the garage lock from the outside, hold the escutcheon in place and mark the 2 fixing positions 6. Drill the escutcheon fixing holes with a 3.5mm drill bit if fitting to a metal skinned door 7. Fix each escutcheon in place (using either a rivet gun or wood screws) 8. With the door fully shut insert and turn the key so that the bolt extends and touches the wail or frame, mark around the bolt to give the drilling position. 9. Drill the wall or frame with a 13mm hole to take the bolt. If the bolt receiving tubes are to be used drill a 17mm hole and then gently tap the tube into position using a hammer.

Please note:. Hardened Steel Bolt shown in the retracted position. Bolt extends another 55mm in the locked position.
