The Chameleon Pro XL Adaptable Door Handle is a versatile hardware solution specifically engineered for the maintenance and repair market. Its defining feature is the adjustable internal sliding mechanism, which allows the lever position to be set anywhere between 59mm and 96mm centres. This adaptability ensures compatibility with a vast range of multipoint locks, including both inline and offset variants.
Designed with retrofitting in mind, the Pro XL features an oversized backplate. This wider profile is intended to cover previous screw holes, faded paintwork, or impressions left by older hardware, providing a clean finish without the need for door repairs. The screw centres are also adjustable between 156mm and 242mm, allowing the handle to be fitted to most existing door preparations.
Security and longevity are central to the design. The external faceplate uses concealed fixings to prevent unauthorised removal from the outside. Internally, the handle is fitted with a double spring mechanism to maintain a level horizontal position over time. To ensure durability in external environments, a nylon seal is integrated into the sliding mechanism to provide ingress protection against moisture and debris.
Typical applications include the replacement of obsolete or hard-to-source multipoint door handles on UPVC, composite, or timber doors. Each set is supplied with an 8mm solid spindle and the necessary fixings for a standard installation.
