The ERA 6345 / 9345 lever-operated multi-point lock is a modular 3-piece security solution designed primarily for the replacement of locking systems in composite and timber doors. Its versatile construction makes it an ideal choice for retrofit applications where existing hardware needs upgrading or repair.
At the core of the system are two high-security hooks with a bi-directional throw, engineered to resist separation and jemmying attempts. The lock is supplied as a kit including a central gearbox and two extension pieces. These extensions are croppable, allowing the installer to tailor the length of the faceplate to the specific dimensions of the door.
Functionally, the unit is non-handed and includes a reversible latch bolt, simplifying installation on either left or right-opening doors. The inclusion of a split spindle allows for flexibility in handle selection, supporting both traditional lever-lever and external lever-pad configurations for controlled entry. The Euro-cylinder and Vectis Plus gearbox choices require different keyway/furniture arrangements.
- Suitable for composite and timber door applications.
- Adjustable, croppable extensions for versatile fitting.
- High-security bi-directional hooks for enhanced protection.
- Modular design facilitates easier installation and component replacement.
Gearbox versions: 6345-2H-KIT is the Euro-cylinder version; 9345-2H-KIT is the Vectis Plus lever-key version. Vectis is not a Euro-cylinder lock. Use furniture matching the selected gearbox: ERA specifies standard 92mm unsprung handles for the Euro version or the appropriate Vectis Plus adaptor/handle. Compare the actual keyway and handle preparation rather than assuming one set fits both.
Fitting range: this 45mm-backset, 20mm-faceplate range has croppable extensions, with nominal overall length adjustable from 1075mm to 1987mm. The manufacturer lists upper hook reach of 360-816mm and lower hook reach of 415-871mm; use the datum and adjustment limits in the stored drawing. Cropping does not establish compatibility with every door; compare the centre case, existing apertures, locking-point positions and frame keeps before installation.
Supplied keeps: the manufacturer specifies adjustable keep plates and universal packers for the PVCu versions and a non-handed keep set for the timber/composite version. The fitting instructions require checking and fitting the replacement keeps, not assuming the original keeps can be retained.
PAS 24 performance concerns a compliant complete doorset with the specified components, not a stand-alone guarantee for a replacement lock fitted to an unrelated door.
