When ordering multiple Keyed Alike locks, only 1 set of keys are provided as all additional locks are made to work from that key.
If ordering 4 or more keyed alike locks you can have them set up as different groups. If Required: Let us know the details in the "Specific Key Requirements" field above.
Each group of locks will then receive keys.
The Federal FD8104-76 is a heavy-duty laminated steel padlock engineered for high-security environments where physical strength is a primary requirement. The lock body is constructed from individually plated steel sections, securely riveted together to form a solid unit that offers exceptional resistance to blunt force and impact attacks.
A key feature of this model is the Molybdenum alloy shackle. This material is specifically chosen for its high tensile strength and hardness, providing a significant upgrade over standard hardened steel in resisting bolt cutters and hacksaws. The extended shackle length makes it particularly effective for securing gates, site barriers, and heavy-duty machinery where standard shackle clearances are insufficient.
Functionally, the padlock is fitted with a re-keyable cylinder, making it a versatile choice for facilities management. It can be serviced or re-pinned to operate under a single key alongside other Federal padlocks, reducing the number of keys required for site access. This padlock is typically used for securing industrial units, warehouse shutters, and perimeter fencing, serving as a robust deterrent in both standalone and complex security systems.

Most of the high security padlocks will have a rating, the CEN rating or the Sold Secure. CEN ratings for padlocks start at 2 for medium security padlocks and finish with the highest rating of 6. CEN ratings are given to padlocks that meet certain requirements and are not tested to these ratings by an independent testing facility. Sold Secure ratings are given by Sold Secure after they have tested each product under vigorous conditions, they force, cut, burn, drill, snap...etc and if the product lasts a certain amount of time or a certain level of force it gains the Bronze, Silver or Gold ratings.

This padlock features a heavy-duty 11mm thick shackle made from anti-cutting molybdenum steel. The long shackle design provides a 50mm clearance, making it suitable for applications where a standard shackle may not reach.
The Federal FD8104-76 has a 63mm wide body constructed from laminated steel. This design provides high levels of physical security and resistance to attack while remaining cost-effective.
Yes, these padlocks are re-keyable and can be supplied keyed alike to other locks within the Federal range. This allows you to use a single key to operate multiple different padlocks.
The padlock is supplied with 2 keys. If you are ordering a set of keyed-alike padlocks, please note that you will receive 2 keys in total for the entire set.

The Extra Key for Federal Padlocks is a dedicated mechanical component designed to operate the specific internal mechanisms found within the Federal padlock range. These keys are used as a direct replacement for lost or damaged originals, or as additional units to provide access to multiple authorised users.
As a key-specific product, it is essential that the key is matched to the existing lock's internal bitting requirements. This ensures consistent and reliable operation of the lock cylinder while maintaining the security integrity of the padlock. These keys are commonly used in commercial and domestic settings where Federal padlocks are deployed to secure gates, storage units, and toolboxes.
