When ordering multiple Keyed Alike locks, only 1 set of keys are provided as all additional locks are made to work from that key.
If ordering 4 or more keyed alike locks you can have them set up as different groups. If Required: Let us know the details in the "Specific Key Requirements" field above.
Each group of locks will then receive keys.
The Federal FD8104P is a high-security padlock featuring a laminated steel body and a protected shackle. This design is engineered specifically to withstand physical attacks, making it a robust choice for securing high-value assets. The molybdenum steel shackle is significantly tougher than standard hardened steel, providing an effective barrier against manual cutting tools.
This padlock is frequently utilised in commercial and industrial settings, such as securing perimeter gates, shipping containers, and warehouse units. Its re-keyable cylinder is a key technical feature, allowing locksmiths to alter the internal pins so the padlock can be operated by the same key as other Federal locks within a facility, simplifying key management for large sites.
The protected shackle, or 'closed' design, minimises the amount of exposed steel, making it extremely difficult for intruders to gain leverage with bolt croppers or prying tools. This makes the FD8104P an ideal replacement for standard open-shackle padlocks in areas where high-level security is a priority.

Most of the high security padlocks will have a rating, the CEN rating or the Sold Secure. CEN ratings for padlocks start at 2 for medium security padlocks and finish with the highest rating of 6. CEN ratings are given to padlocks that meet certain requirements and are not tested to these ratings by an independent testing facility. Sold Secure ratings are given by Sold Secure after they have tested each product under vigorous conditions, they force, cut, burn, drill, snap...etc and if the product lasts a certain amount of time or a certain level of force it gains the Bronze, Silver or Gold ratings.

The protected shackle design features integral shoulders on the lock body that surround the shackle. This significantly reduces exposure, making it much harder for intruders to use tools like bolt cutters or saws to attack the lock.
The FD8104P is equipped with a heavy-duty 11mm shackle. It is constructed from anti-cutting Molybdenum, a high-strength material specifically engineered to resist forced entry attempts using cutting equipment.
Yes, these padlocks are re-keyable and can be keyed alike. This means we can supply multiple locks that all open with the same key, or match them to other compatible padlocks within the Federal range for your convenience.
This model has a 63mm wide body made from laminated steel. The laminated construction provides a high level of physical strength and impact resistance, offering a heavy-duty security solution at an affordable price point.

The Extra Key for Federal Padlocks is a dedicated mechanical component designed to operate the specific internal mechanisms found within the Federal padlock range. These keys are used as a direct replacement for lost or damaged originals, or as additional units to provide access to multiple authorised users.
As a key-specific product, it is essential that the key is matched to the existing lock's internal bitting requirements. This ensures consistent and reliable operation of the lock cylinder while maintaining the security integrity of the padlock. These keys are commonly used in commercial and domestic settings where Federal padlocks are deployed to secure gates, storage units, and toolboxes.
