No, this gearbox is specifically engineered for the slave (secondary) leaf of double French doors. It does not include a latch or hookbolt because it is designed to function as the passive locking point that the master door engages with.

You should confirm that your existing hardware matches these two critical dimensions:

  • Backset: 35mm (the distance from the front of the faceplate to the center of the keyhole).
  • PZ Centers: 92mm (the distance from the center of the handle spindle to the center of the rounded part of the cylinder hole).

This is a dedicated slave lock gearbox. In a French door configuration, the secondary door leaf acts as the frame for the master door. Because it doesn't need to 'catch' like a primary door, it omits the latch and hookbolt to accommodate the internal shootbolt mechanisms used to secure the secondary leaf to the top and bottom of the frame.

The Fullex XL Slave Gearbox is designed to be compatible with standard Euro profile cylinders. Please note that the lock cylinder is not included with the gearbox and must be purchased separately if you are not reusing your existing one.
