The supplied GU Secury Europa 2R/2SH 1050 has a central latch and deadbolt with two hooks and two rollers. The retained specification is 35mm backset, 92mm PZ centres and 16mm faceplate.
Europa operation: with the door closed, lift the handle to extend the secondary locking points and main deadbolt. Turn the cylinder key to secure the mechanism and block the handle. Unlock with the key before lowering the handle to retract the mechanism and latch. The key secures the already-extended main deadbolt; it is not the action that first throws it.
Hooks and mushroom points engage their matching keeps; rollers provide closing compression. Correct seals, adjustment and alignment determine weather performance. A replacement mechanism is not a repair for a warped or misaligned door and does not by itself establish thermal, acoustic or weather ratings.
Replacement fit: compare the exact supplied reference and generation, backset, PZ centres, follower/spindle arrangement, faceplate profile, case routing, fixings, locking-point positions and frame keeps. Shared GU branding or 92mm centres alone are not a direct-fit guarantee. Spindle and cylinder selection must also match the furniture, door thickness and required outside operation.
The Short Locking Points and Standard Locking Points options retain different supplied references, 6-32602-08-0-1 and 6-32602-02-0-1. Compare their actual positions with the existing strip and keeps; the option names are not a dimensioned fitting drawing.
