Latch & Hookbolt

The Ingenious CA-1014-T centre case is a replacement centre component, not a complete multipoint locking strip.

The original Ingenious/Mila 1031-SPG assembly drawing names CA-1014-T as a 30mm backset sprung component. That full assembly is described with 92mm centres and a single sprung spindle. It is not the 35mm model 1014 simply because the codes share digits.

Confirm the supplied case against that original assembly before selecting door furniture. Twin-spindle and unsprung-follower claims are not established by this reference, and the assembly drawing is not a standalone case replacement manual.

Match the exact original case and lock generation, backset, spindle arrangement, case outline, drive connections and retaining fixings. Matching the brand or a single measurement does not establish a direct replacement.

A centre-case repair can retain the locking strip only when the replacement is an exact match and the strip, remote locking points and frame keeps remain serviceable. Have the fault and the complete assembled lock checked before assuming that the gearbox alone is sufficient.

Check the handing and latch-reversal instructions for the actual supplied case. Do not use a generic screw-removal procedure or assume that every revision can be reversed in the same way. The 1031-SPG assembly is described with a reversible latch, but the exact supplied spare revision and procedure must still be matched.

Do not assume that this case is unsprung. The original 1031-SPG BOM names CA-1014-T as a 30mm sprung component, and that assembly is described with a single sprung spindle. Confirm the supplied case and the required furniture before selecting handles.
