Featuring a combined latch and hookbolt design, it provides a secure locking point suitable for PVCu, timber, and composite doors. The unit is specifically engineered for durability, employing specialised internal slider technology to ensure a smooth, long-lasting operation even with frequent use.

This gearbox is equipped with a twin spindle arrangement at 92mm and 62mm centres, providing versatility for various handle configurations. A practical feature is the integrated plastic snib located on the faceplate, which allows users to hold the latch back temporarily. This is particularly useful for preventing accidental lock-outs during high-traffic periods. As the followers within the gearbox are unsprung, it is recommended that this unit be paired with sprung door furniture to ensure optimal handle performance and return.

Typical applications include the repair or maintenance of existing door hardware where the central gearbox has failed but the rest of the locking strip remains functional. The latch is fully reversible; by removing the retaining screw, the latch can be flipped and refitted to suit the handing of the door. The mechanism operates via a standard lift-lever action, where lifting the handle engages the external locking points and a turn of a Euro cylinder (sold separately) secures the system.
