The KFV AS4050 multipoint lock has a central latch and deadbolt with four rollers. The retained version has 35mm backset, 92mm PZ centres and a 24mm U-rail faceplate.
Operation: lift the handle to engage the secondary locking points, then turn the cylinder key to lock the central case and block the handle function. Unlock with the key before pressing the handle down to release the secondary points and latch. Closing on the latch or lifting the handle alone is not the fully key-locked state.
Replacement fit: match the exact lock reference and generation, backset, 92mm PZ centres, faceplate shape, case routing, locking-point positions and profile-specific frame keeps. Matching the KFV brand or PZ centres alone does not establish a direct replacement. Gearbox-only repairs also need matching fixing positions and drive connections; early riveted and later screw-fixed cases are not automatically interchangeable.
The four rollers engage the matching frame keeps to provide closing compression. Correct roller/keep adjustment and door alignment are needed for sealing performance. Rollers do not guarantee the elimination of draughts, prevent door warping or establish a thermal or acoustic rating for an unrelated doorset.
This version is listed with a 24mm U-rail faceplate. Match the complete U-profile section and door preparation, not just its nominal width. It is not interchangeable with the separate 16mm flat-faceplate version merely because the gearbox backset and PZ agree.
