The KFV 7970 is a high-security multipoint locking system designed for external doors. This short-version model provides a compact solution for installations where a full-length strip is not required or feasible. It functions through a lever-operated mechanism, where lifting the handle engages the two security hooks and the central deadbolt.

Typically used as a replacement part for existing KFV installations, this lock is compatible with a wide range of door materials including timber, composite, and PVCu. It features a 16mm faceplate and is designed to work with a single spindle handle set at 92mm centres. The integration of hooks not only enhances security but also helps to pull the door into the frame for a better weather seal.
