A surface-mounted sliding-bar lock

The 2200 uses an inside rim-mounted sliding bar and requires manual relocking. This is different from a mortice latch cut into the door edge or a hook bolt for a sliding panel. Check the inside mounting space and keep position, particularly when replacing a different rim-lock format.

Fitting and setup

  • Measure the door thickness, backset and existing fixing positions against the exact model drawing.
  • Set the new code and test the outside control, inside operation and latch engagement with the door open before closing it.

The new latch must match the original backset, follower connection, faceplate and fixing positions; a shared brand name does not guarantee fit. Send us the original model and measurements if the installation cannot be identified.
