When ordering multiple Keyed Alike locks, only 1 set of keys are provided as all additional locks are made to work from that key.

If ordering 4 or more keyed alike locks you can have them set up as different groups. If Required: Let us know the details in the "Specific Key Requirements" field above.

Each group of locks will then receive keys.

Latch & Hookbolt

The Lockmaster 21 Twin Spindle Latch & Hook Gearbox is offered as YL2135HK-BX with 35mm backset or YL2145HK-BX with 45mm backset. It is the twin-follower centre-case family, separate from the single-follower LM21 gearbox.

Match the existing case, fixing positions, drive connections and hook layout, as well as backset and centres. Neither the Lockmaster name nor 92mm/62mm centres proves fit to an older mechanism.

Handle operation depends on the approved follower and furniture arrangement. Two follower positions do not by themselves provide split-spindle operation, outside key-only access or an escape function. Confirm handing and follow the supplied instructions for the complete lock rather than using a generic latch-reversal or key-turn procedure.

FAQs

The two follower positions provide the listed 92mm and 62mm centres. The required handles and spindles must be matched to the actual case. Twin followers alone do not guarantee split-spindle operation or prevent outside entry when the door is only latched.

Match YL2135HK-BX or YL2145HK-BX to the existing case and locking strip. Check backset, centres, fixing positions, drive connections and hook layout. Do not approve a replacement from case height or the Lockmaster name alone.

The latch is listed as reversible. Confirm its orientation using the exact case instructions and check the complete lock and furniture handing; this does not establish suitability for every door opening direction.

Follow the operating instructions for the matched LM21 hook case and complete mechanism. The latch, centre hook and other strip locking points have different roles; do not use a deadbolt-case sequence for a hook repair case or assume a fixed cylinder rotation.
