The Lockmaster PL13-19 is a lever-operated multipoint lock with a central latch and deadbolt and two hooks, two anti-lift pins and two rollers. This retained version has a 35mm backset, 16mm flat faceplate and twin 92mm/62mm follower centres.
The twin-spindle case has separate followers at 92mm and 62mm centres for matching handle arrangements. This is not the same as an inline split spindle sharing one follower axis. Outside latch operation depends on the correct furniture and spindle arrangement, not on the twin-spindle label alone.
Lift the handle to engage the hook locking points, then turn the cylinder key to deadlock the mechanism. Unlock with the key before lowering the handle to release the locking points and latch. Closing on the latch or lifting the handle alone is not the fully key-locked state.
Replacement fit: compare the exact reference and generation, backset, PZ centres, follower arrangement, faceplate shape, case routing, fixing holes, locking-point positions and profile-specific frame keeps. A matching brand or 92mm PZ measurement alone does not establish a direct replacement.
The rollers provide closing compression against the matching frame keeps. Correct adjustment, seals and door alignment are needed for weather performance. They are not a guarantee of weatherproofing and do not replace correction of a misaligned door.
The stored manufacturer drawing includes an exact labelled PL13-19 panel, showing 2200mm overall length and a 1050mm lower-end-to-spindle datum. Use that panel, not the neighbouring short-strip or sprung-version drawings, when comparing the existing mechanism.
