By anchoring the door at its base, the system prevents it from being swung open or forced from the bottom, providing a significant upgrade to standard integral locks.
The unit operates using a three-part system: a permanent zinc-plated ground plate, a removable 'T' shaped restrictor bar, and a specialized Kryptonite padlock. Once the ground plate is fixed into position, the restrictor bar is placed over the central pillar and locked securely with the circular shackle-less padlock, creating a solid obstruction in the door's path of travel.
Typical applications include domestic garages and light commercial units where a visible and physical deterrent is required. It is essential that this product is installed onto a solid concrete floor to ensure the integrity of the rawlbolt fixings; it is not suitable for installation on tarmac or block paving.
