When ordering multiple Keyed Alike locks, only 1 set of keys are provided as all additional locks are made to work from that key.
If ordering 4 or more keyed alike locks you can have them set up as different groups. If Required: Let us know the details in the "Specific Key Requirements" field above.
Each group of locks will then receive keys.
The Union 1027 is a standard security rim night latch designed for installation on timber doors. This surface-mounted lock is frequently used as a secondary security device or a primary latching mechanism for domestic entrance doors. It is engineered to fit inward opening doors and features a reversible latch bolt to accommodate both left and right-handed applications.
Operationally, the latch is withdrawn via a key from the exterior and by a lever handle from the interior. A prominent thumb button, or snib, is located on the lock body, providing two distinct functions: it can deadlock the latch bolt in the locked position to prevent external key operation, or hold the bolt in the withdrawn position to allow free passage without the door latching shut.
The Union 1027 is an ideal choice for both new installations and as a replacement for existing rim latches. Its functional versatility and robust design make it a staple for residential security systems, ensuring reliable performance and ease of use for the end-user.

No unfortunately not, the BS3621 nightlatches can not be reversed. The only way to do this is to install a standard nightlatch from our outward opening nightlatch section and then also install a BS3621 deadlock. This deadlock will give you the insurance rating required.
You need to make sure the lock you fit is NON deadlocking. This means that you can not lock people into the property. There are a few nightlatches designed for these doors. The best is the Yale PBS3 or PBS4 or a more standard model would be the Yale 88 or 84.
The best locks for these would be the a rollerbolt style lock with a masterkeyed cylinder. I would not recommend installing a standard Nightlatch on these doors as the tenants can lock themselves out if they close the door behind them. We can supply these locks for you on a masterkey if you require or keyed differ if you would prefer.
The backset on these locks is the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the Rim Cylinder. This is the large 32mm hole drilled through the door. There are 2 main sizes of these, 60mm or 40mm. Easiest way to find out what you have is to measure from outside of the door from the edge to the center of the keyhole. If you have a solid door you should use the 60mm backset locks, if you have a glass panelled door then you may need to use the 40mm backset. If your current lock is 50mm backset you will need to see our Union locks as only Union made a 50mm backset lock in the past.
There are different levels of security you can have with all locks. The standard locks (i.e. Yale 77, Yale 88) , then the mid level locks which can be key deadlocked from outside ( Yale 89, Union nightlatches). The double locking versions are only suitable for homes with other means of exit as you can lock people inside the house if not careful.
All the extra keys for the locks are cut to the specific locks that have been ordered.
With most locks that are altered to make them keyed alike you will only get 1 x set of keys with them. So if the locks normally come with 2 you will only get 2 keys total and if they come with 3 keys you will only get 3 x keys total when ordered keyed alike.
This model features a 40mm backset (the distance from the door edge to the centre of the keyhole). It is designed for timber doors between 35mm and 60mm thick and is suitable for both left and right-handed inward opening doors.
The thumb button provides flexible control by allowing you to either hold the latch bolt in the withdrawn position to prevent accidental lock-outs or secure it in the locked position for added security.
The Union 1027 is operated using a standard cylinder key from the exterior and a lever handle from the interior, providing a reliable security solution for timber entrance doors.
The external cylinder for this rim night latch is available in two classic finishes to coordinate with your door hardware: Polished Brass or Satin Chrome.

NightChis ( of Stock)
The Faithfull Bevel Edge Wood Chisel Set is an essential collection of tools specifically selected for the installation of nightlatch locks on timber doors. These chisels are engineered to provide the accuracy required for creating clean recesses and rebates, ensuring a professional and secure fit for door hardware.
Each chisel features a high-quality steel blade that has been hardened and tempered to maintain a sharp edge through repeated use. The bevelled edges make these tools particularly effective for working into internal corners and tight spaces, which is critical when fitting lock keeps and housings. The impact-resistant handles are designed for durability, allowing them to be used safely with a mallet for deeper cuts.

NightDrill ( of Stock)
This Black & Decker Drill Bit Set is specifically curated for the installation of nightlatches on wooden doors. It provides the essential boring tools required to prepare a door for standard cylinder rim locks, ensuring a clean and accurate fit.
The kit comprises a flat spade bit and a smaller twist drill bit. The spade bit is used to create the large diameter hole necessary for the lock cylinder to pass through the door leaf. Its central point allows for precise alignment with marked measurements, while the outer spurs cut the wood fibres cleanly to prevent breakout on the reverse side of the door.
The accompanying twist drill is used for drilling pilot holes for the mounting screws and the internal cylinder tailpiece. This prevents the timber from splitting during the final assembly of the lock hardware. Both components are manufactured from hardened steel to maintain sharpness across multiple installations in various timber densities.
