The Union 1139 Rim Deadlock is a surface-mounted security solution designed for timber doors. Unlike traditional mortice locks, this rim lock is fixed directly to the internal face of the door, making it particularly suitable for applications where the door construction or thickness prevents a deep mortice cutout.

Equipped with a 3-lever mechanism, this lock provides reliable security for residential applications. The deadbolt is operated by a key from both the internal and external sides, offering consistent locking functionality. It is frequently utilised on outbuildings, sheds, and gates, as well as secondary residential entrance doors.

No unfortunately not, these locks are not as secure as a modern mortice lock as can be smashed off the back of the door so there isn't a high security model available. The best we can offer is a 3 lever. I would only recommend these for internal doors around the house.

Some of the 1 lever locks we offer can be selected on the same key number but this will need to be requested when purchased. It's not always possible but if you ask us we will try our best to accommodate your request.

The Rim locks screw to the inside of the door so therefore normal lever handle / knob handles on roses will not be suitable as you can not get a fixing point on the inside knob as the lock case is in the way. You need to purchase a set of rim knobs which have a standard style handle outside and a knob only on the inside.

A lot of the older models of these Rim locks have been discontinued so we might not be able to supply exact replacements.

No, this lock is not reversible. You must specify whether you require a left-hand or right-hand version when ordering to ensure it fits your door correctly.
