Most of the mortice sashlocks are reversible so you dont have to specify a hand but if you want to state the hand you need we offer a free of charge service to reverse the latches for you to make your lives easier.

The old style horizontal locks have mostly been discontinued as there were so many variations made in the past. We have the Union 2077 available in either the 5 or 6 inch lock cases adn also the Imperial 5 lever Horizontal locks. Sometimes the backset and the spindle follower distances do not match perfectly so some carpentry will be required to replace these locks.

It is essential to measure your existing lock before ordering. The case size (127mm/5" or 152mm/6") determines the backset, which is the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the keyhole and the spindle. Measuring accurately ensures the lock will align with the existing holes in your door.
