All the extra keys for the locks are cut to the specific locks that have been ordered.
There are 2 different sizes of lock cases as each lock will give you a different backset. This is the distance from the edge of the lock to the keyhole / spindle for handles. The bigger locks are better for solid wooden doors as they move the keyhole away from the door stop further. If you have a large door stop and fit a 64mm lock case you can find that you hit your knuckles on the door stop when you turn the key. Alternatively the 64mm lock case is better when you have a glass panelled door as you may not have enough wood on the stile to fit the 76mm lock into before you hit and therefore smash the glass. This is very important to check when installing locks to doors with glass in.
No, if the door is a communal entrance/ exit you MUST have a turn on the inside, so a 5 lever key on the inside is not suitable.
There are specific locks we sell called Egress locks that meet both the Insurance and Fire regulations so these are suitable for communal entrance doors.
To meet the fire regulations you need to be able to exit a communal door without the use of a key. If you are using the lock on your personal front door then they are fine but if others use the door you need to look into getting a turn knob internally so you can exit without the use of a key.
With outward opening doors you can not get a BS3621 outward opening nightlatch (see our section for all the options we have available) but if you install a standard security nightlatch you can also fit a BS3621 deadlock to the door which will give you the insurance rated lock required. As the deadlocks are not handed you can use them on any type of wooden door.
With most locks that are altered to make them keyed alike you will only get 1 x set of keys with them. So if the locks normally come with 2 you will only get 2 keys total and if they come with 3 keys you will only get 3 x keys total when ordered keyed alike.
Yes you can, we would need a key back as we dont hold any records of your keys but this is possible. Please get in touch first so we can confirm everything is ok to do and then you can post your key back to us (taped to a piece of card...essential!!)
Yes, this is possible but it is important to make sure you select the same brand and model. The internals and the keys need to match so we can key the locks alike.
We do try to list the products together in our series tab on the product page which should show the suitable products that can be keyed alike together.
If in doubt please ask us and we will let you know.
A rebate set is only required on double rebated doors. If you only have a single door then you will receive all the parts you require with the lock. If you need a rebate set you will need to check the size of your rebate. The most common is 13mm but on older doors they can be 19mm or 25mm.
With the 5 lever locks they are designed to be high security so there are thousands of different keys so the keys do not come with numbers on. Therefore we can not cut additional keys for these locks without a key to copy from. If you post it back to us we can do it for you (please contact us first before you send it) or alternatively nearly all the keys we sell are available from local locksmiths in your area. They maybe more expensive so we would recommend buying the extra keys at the time of purchase so we can cut and try them before we ship the order.
Deadlocks are suitable for either hand and inward and outward opening doors. The locks have keyholes either side and can be used on the left or right hand side of the door.
Yes, the Union 2100S StrongBOLT is Kitemarked and certified to BS3621:2007. It also carries the Secured by Design accreditation, making it suitable for external doors where high security and insurance compliance are required.
The StrongBOLT features an extended 20mm deadbolt for deeper engagement and resistance against jemmy attacks. It is specifically designed with anti-pick, anti-saw, and anti-drill components. Additionally, the chamfered bolt design provides extra strength under side load testing and makes drilling more difficult.
The StrongBOLT is designed for ease of installation and is highly adaptable for retro-fitting into existing doors. Its design often eliminates the need for additional morticing, making it a convenient upgrade for many standard doors without requiring significant woodwork modifications.
Yes, this deadlock has been assessed to EN 1634-1 standards, making it suitable for use on 60-minute timber fire doors. This makes it an ideal choice for both residential security and commercial fire safety compliance.

UNION-5L-EXLK ( of Stock)
The Union Extra Long 5-Lever Mortice Key is specifically engineered for use with Union 5-lever locks where standard-length keys are insufficient. Providing an additional 30mm of length compared to standard keys, this component is essential for installations involving thick doors, external cladding, or deep-set mortice pockets.
These keys are typically utilised when a door's thickness or the presence of decorative panelling prevents a standard key from reaching and engaging with the lock mechanism correctly. They function as a direct functional replacement or as additional keys for existing 5-lever Union systems. By offering extended reach, they ensure smooth operation without the need for door modifications or shallow mortice cuts.
Compatibility is focused on Union brand 5-lever locks. These keys are supplied cut to specific lock codes, ensuring they are ready for immediate use and provide a secure, precise interface with the internal lever mechanism.

J2100REB ( of Stock)
The UNION J2100REB Rebate Set is an essential accessory designed specifically for the installation of Union Strongbolt deadlocks on rebated double doors. In situations where the meeting stiles of two doors overlap, a standard strike plate is insufficient; this rebate set provides the required offset and housing to ensure the lock functions as intended.
This component is critical for maintaining the security integrity of the Strongbolt series, allowing the deadbolt to throw fully into a reinforced box strike within the rebated frame. It is typically used by joiners and locksmiths during both new door installations and security upgrades where traditional timber double doors are present.
Designed for durability and precise alignment, the set ensures that the locking mechanism remains reliable over time. It is compatible with all lock variants within the Strongbolt deadlock family, providing a consistent solution for high-security timber door sets.
