The Union 2244E Euro Cylinder Sashcase is a versatile mortice lock designed for use on timber doors. It is engineered for applications requiring both lever handle operation and key-controlled security via a Euro profile cylinder. The latchbolt is operated by handles from either side, while the deadbolt provides secure deadlocking when locked by the cylinder.

Technical features include an extended 20mm deadbolt containing hardened steel rollers, specifically designed to resist physical attacks such as sawing and jemmying. The latchbolt is easily reversible using a simple one-screw operation, making it suitable for both left and right-handed door configurations without dismantling the lock case.

This sashcase is intended for use on wooden doors with a minimum thickness of 44mm. It can be integrated into master key systems when used with compatible non-kitemarked cylinder lock cases or installed as a high-security solution meeting BS3621:1998 when supplied as a complete kitemarked set. For rebated double doors, it is compatible with the 2968 rebate set range.

This product is the sashcase only. To complete your installation, you will need to purchase a separate Euro Profile cylinder and compatible lever handles with an 8mm square spindle. When supplied as a complete lockset, it is Kitemarked to BS3621:1998 standards.
