Most of the mortice sashlocks are reversible so you dont have to specify a hand but if you want to state the hand you need we offer a free of charge service to reverse the latches for you to make your lives easier.

The old style horizontal locks have mostly been discontinued as there were so many variations made in the past. We have the Union 2077 available in either the 5 or 6 inch lock cases adn also the Imperial 5 lever Horizontal locks. Sometimes the backset and the spindle follower distances do not match perfectly so some carpentry will be required to replace these locks.

No, the oval profile cylinder is not supplied with the lock. You will need to purchase an oval profile single cylinder, double cylinder, or cylinder and turn separately to operate the deadbolt mechanism.

Yes, the latchbolt is fully reversible, making this sashlock suitable for installation on both left and right-handed doors. The latch can be conveniently withdrawn by a knob from either side of the door.
