When ordering multiple Keyed Alike locks, only 1 set of keys are provided as all additional locks are made to work from that key.
If ordering 4 or more keyed alike locks you can have them set up as different groups. If Required: Let us know the details in the "Specific Key Requirements" field above.
Each group of locks will then receive keys.
The Union L2341 Mortice Nightlatch is a high-security locking solution designed specifically for use with oval profile cylinders. It is most commonly applied to timber doors where automatic deadlocking is required, ensuring the door is secured as soon as it is closed. This makes it an ideal choice for both commercial and domestic entrance doors.
Operationally, the latchbolt is withdrawn from the exterior using an oval cylinder and from the interior via a lever handle. The unit is designed to accommodate different cylinder configurations; for instance, a double cylinder can be used to provide key operation from both sides. The one-way action follower ensures that the handle only operates the latch in the intended direction.
A key functional feature of the L2341 is the forend snib. When engaged using the provided special key, this allows the latchbolt to be held in the withdrawn position, permitting free passage without the door locking. This is particularly useful in commercial environments during business hours. The latchbolt itself is easily reversible without needing to open the lockcase, simplifying the installation process for various door handedness.

No, the oval cylinder is not supplied with the lockcase. You will need to purchase a compatible oval profile cylinder separately to operate the lock from the outside.
Yes, the latchbolt is easily reversible without the need to open the lockcase, allowing it to be configured for either left or right-handed door openings.
This lock features a snib located in the forend which allows the latch to be held in the withdrawn position. This function is operated using a special key that is supplied with the lock.
While the lockcase itself is versatile, the standard oval cylinder length typically accommodates doors up to 46mm thick. If your door exceeds this thickness, you will need to ensure you purchase an oval cylinder with the correct corresponding length.
