If ordering 4 or more keyed alike locks you can have them set up as different groups. If Required: Let us know the details in the "Specific Key Requirements" field above.

Latch & Deadbolt

The Winkhaus AV2 Auto Locking Multipoint Lock is a high-security solution engineered specifically for timber doors. Its primary function is the automatic engagement of its two steel hooks; as soon as the door is closed, the hooks extend into the keeps without requiring the user to lift the handle. This does not automatically throw the central deadbolt: it is operated separately by the key or an appropriate thumbturn. When an outside lever is fitted, Winkhaus specifies that the key must still be used to lock the door.

Constructed with a 20mm radius faceplate, this lock is designed for seamless integration into timber joinery. The central gearbox houses a standard latch and deadbolt, which are operated via a Euro profile cylinder. The mechanical design is focused on durability and ease of use, making it an ideal choice for residential entrance doors.

One of the key technical advantages of the AV2 system is its compatibility with electronic upgrades. By adding a "screw-on" 12v motor, the unit can be converted into the blueMatic AV2-E system, allowing the door to be opened via intercoms, keypads, or other access control systems. This makes the lock suitable for both standard domestic use and modern smart-home or commercial environments.

Electronic release also needs the specified low-voltage power supply, cable/door-frame transition and a suitable access-control trigger; a motor alone is not a complete installation kit. Do not connect the lock motor directly to mains power.

Replacement checks: compare the original backset, faceplate width/end shape, hook positions, handing and frame keeps with the supplied lock. The range guide is not a substitute for the exact machining drawing.
