The Winkhaus AV2-F 1660 M2 is a high-performance automatic multipoint locking system designed for modern door security. Unlike traditional locks that require a 'lift-to-lock' action, the AV2 mechanism triggers the engagement of two high-tensile steel hooks as soon as the door is pulled shut. This provides immediate security and ensures the door is correctly positioned for weather sealing and thermal efficiency.

The lock features a 16mm square faceplate, making it compatible with a wide range of UPVC and composite door profiles. It is designed for single spindle operation and uses a standard Euro profile cylinder for deadlocking. Its robust construction makes it suitable for use as both an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part and a reliable replacement for existing multipoint locking units.

A significant advantage of this model is its future-proofing capabilities. It can be converted into an electronic locking system by adding a compatible 12v motor. This allows the lock to be integrated into smart home setups or commercial access control systems, enabling remote unlocking via keypads, fobs, or intercom systems.
