Winkhaus AV4 uses a central magnetic trigger to engage two anti-push-back hooks without lifting the handle. With an outside lever handle, the hooks engage when the door closes, but the door is not automatically locked; use the key to lock it.
Latch-and-deadbolt centre case, 45mm backset, 92mm PZ centres and a 20mm radius faceplate. For replacement, compare the original backset, PZ centres, faceplate shape and length, case position and every locking-point position. Match the keeps and trigger magnet to the actual door profile; a shared brand or PZ measurement is not enough.
The mechanical AV4 range supports separately specified blueMatic EAV4 and EAV4+ upgrades. Those are AV4-generation 24V DC systems, not a reason to substitute an older 12V EAV motor. The motor, suitable supply, cable transfer and access-control components must be specified together.
Winkhaus describes the range as PAS 24 tested and Secured by Design approved. Installation performance depends on the complete specified doorset, not the replacement lock alone. The stored range guide explains operation and system options; it is not an exact-part dimensioned fitting drawing.
