Winkhaus Thunderbolt Lever Operated Multipoint Lock Latch & Deadbolt

The Winkhaus Thunderbolt™ Lever Operated Multipoint Lock is a robust security solution designed for external doors. This full multipoint unit features a central latch and deadbolt complemented by four additional deadbolts positioned along the faceplate. Each deadbolt is 8.5mm thick with a 20mm throw, providing multiple points of engagement that significantly increase resistance against forced entry and physical attack.

Engineered for longevity and ease of use, the unit incorporates a high-performance sprung gearbox. This mechanism has been tested to 100,000 cycles to ensure smooth operation while preventing handle droop over time. The lock is operated by lifting the lever handle to engage the locking points, followed by a turn of a Euro profile cylinder to secure the system. The split spindle configuration provides additional flexibility, allowing for controlled access from the external side of the door.

This locking system is an ideal choice for both new installations and the replacement of existing Winkhaus mechanisms in timber, composite, or PVCu doors. It is fully compliant with PAS 24 and EN 14351-1:2006, and carries the Secured by Design accreditation, making it suitable for high-specification security requirements.
