The Yale Conexis L1 Smart Door Lock offers a sophisticated keyless entry solution for residential properties. Designed to replace existing door handles, it is compatible with the majority of PVCu and composite doors equipped with 92mm centres multipoint locking systems. By removing the need for a traditional mechanical cylinder, it provides a high level of security against common lock-breaking techniques.

Users can operate the lock through multiple digital methods, including the Yale Home app on a smartphone, key cards, or contactless tags. This allows for flexible access management, enabling homeowners to grant temporary or permanent entry permissions to visitors or service providers. The unit is powered by standard AA batteries and includes low-battery warnings and an emergency power point to prevent lock-outs.

While this version is supplied without a communication module, it features an internal slot designed to accommodate Z-Wave or Yale Access modules. This allows the system to be integrated into wider smart home ecosystems or connected to a Wi-Fi bridge for remote operation. Installation is designed for ease, typically requiring only a screwdriver to fit onto existing door preparations.

FAQs

This version of the Yale Conexis L1 is supplied without a wireless communication module. While the lock remains fully functional as a secure digital handle using RFID tags or cards, you will need to purchase a separate module (such as the Yale Access Module or Z-Wave Module) if you wish to unlock it via a smartphone app or connect it to a smart home system.

This smart lock is designed specifically for uPVC and composite doors that utilize a multi-point locking system. It is not compatible with standard timber doors using mortice locks or night latches. To ensure a proper fit, your door should have a 92mm 'centre' measurement, which is the distance between the center of the handle spindle and the center of the keyhole.

The Conexis L1 is powered by 4 AA alkaline batteries and will emit an audible alert when power is low. If the batteries fail completely, there is a 9V battery terminal located on the bottom of the external handle. You can hold a standard 9V battery against these contacts to provide temporary power, allowing you to use your RFID card or tag to enter and replace the internal batteries.

Even without a smart module installed, the lock can be programmed to recognize multiple credentials for family and guests. You can pair a total of up to 50 individual RFID tags, cards, or phone tags to the unit, giving you flexible access control without the need for physical keys.
