The Yale YS170 is a high-performance multipoint locking system designed primarily for uPVC door profiles. It combines mechanical strength with thermal efficiency, utilizing a combination of two reverse action hookbolts and two roller cams. The reverse hookbolts are designed to engage in opposite directions, significantly increasing resistance to anti-lift techniques and forced entry. The rollers provide adjustable compression, ensuring the door remains tightly sealed against the weather strip to prevent drafts and water ingress.

This locking mechanism is suitable for both new installations and as a replacement unit in existing doors. It features a split spindle operation, providing flexibility for different handle types and access requirements. The centre case is designed for use with a Euro profile cylinder and includes a latch and hookbolt for primary security. For added convenience, an integrated snib allows the latch to be held back or deadlocked as required.

The two adjustable rollers are engineered to ensure a tight, weatherproof seal. By pulling the door leaf closely against the frame seals, they help to:

The integrated snib function provides manual control over the central latch. It allows you to either hold the latch back to permit free passage without the door clicking shut, or to deadlock the latch for added convenience and security when the full multipoint system is not engaged.
