The Safelex clamping mechanism permits cable retightening while the device remains locked. The standard C553–C565 range is a different mechanism and should not be advertised with that feature.

No. A cable lockout device is secured with separate personal padlocks. A cable padlock has its own locking body and a flexible cable in place of a rigid shackle.
