Start with the backset and cylinder format

4710 is the round screw-in-cylinder deadlatch for narrow aluminium door stiles. Match the exact backset and faceplate to the original preparation, then pair it with the correct cylinder and operating furniture. The latch can be reversed; that does not mean every paddle, cam or Euro-profile cylinder will fit it.

Match the replacement to the original

  • Compare the original backset, follower or cam connection, faceplate and fixing centres with the replacement.
  • Retain the original model reference and measurements; send us photographs if the existing assembly is difficult to identify.

This unit is supplied as a lock case only. Please note that the faceplate and strike plate are not included and must be ordered separately to complete your installation.

The 4710 Mortice Deadlatch is designed for convenience and security; the latch automatically deadlocks as soon as the door is moved into the closed position, preventing the latch from being retracted by external force.

The Adams Rite 4710 can be specified in four different backset sizes to match your door profile:

  • 22mm
  • 24mm
  • 28mm
  • 38mm

Match push or pull to the inside operation

The 4591 paddle provides push or pull operation of a compatible deadlatch. Match the ordered direction, handing and door thickness to the inside of the doorway. A paddle, latch and cylinder form a matched assembly; a similar-looking Euro-profile deadlatch is not automatically compatible.
