KeyPad Plus gives an Ajax alarm a familiar point of control at the entrance. Use an access code, or present a compatible Pass card or Tag key fob, with permissions managed through the Ajax app.

Ajax Baseline

Contactless access with considered security.

Compatible Pass cards and Tag key fobs use DESFire technology. Access can be linked to individual users and revoked if a credential goes missing, rather than sharing one permanent code with everyone.

Access without another app account.

Guest access codes can suit visitors, contractors or other people who do not need an Ajax account. Availability and code capacity depend on the hub and software. Set permissions for the areas each person actually needs.

More than an arm button.

The touch-sensitive panel and status indicators make daily alarm control straightforward. Group control, Night Mode and a configurable function button support the way the system is used. This is a keypad, not a touchscreen video monitor.

What you need. Fitting and setup.

Provide a compatible Ajax hub and a suitable indoor position near the entrance, out of public view where possible. No mains or Ethernet cable is needed at the keypad: four AA batteries are supplied. Mount SmartBracket securely, check Jeweller signal strength and configure users, entry/exit delays and any group control. Test each authorised access method and the alarm response with the installer. Pass cards, Tag key fobs and any monitoring service are separate purchases.

No. Compatible contactless credentials are supplied separately; the keypad also supports access codes.

Do not assume that any bank card or access fob will work. Use the compatible credentials listed by Ajax for KeyPad Plus.

No mains or Ethernet cable is required at the keypad. It runs on four pre-installed AA batteries and communicates with a compatible hub by radio.

Yes. Personal credentials and configured group permissions let you distinguish access, subject to the hub capacity and software.

No. KeyPad Plus manages the alarm. It does not show camera video or directly replace a door-entry system.

Automatic blocking can respond to repeated incorrect codes or unrecognised credentials. Configure the lockout behaviour as part of commissioning.

A configured duress code can appear to disarm normally while raising a duress event. The response depends on the monitoring arrangements and system configuration.

The keypad communicates by Jeweller and runs on four included AA batteries. The hub reports low battery and supervision events.

Ajax Baseline

Several ways to get the message through.

Ethernet, Wi-Fi and two mobile SIM slots give the hub alternative routes to Ajax Cloud. Configure more than one route for resilience. Mobile connectivity needs compatible SIMs, coverage and an active service; switching between SIMs can take up to four minutes.

See the reason for an alarm.

A compatible MotionCam detector can send a sequence of photographs with an alarm, helping you understand what happened before deciding how to respond. Photo-on-demand and scenario features depend on the detector and permissions. Continuous camera recordings need their own storage, not the hub.

Separate areas. One manageable system.

Up to 25 security groups let different areas follow different routines. The hub supports up to 200 devices and 200 users, while up to 64 scenarios can connect events to compatible lights, relays or other automation devices. Each accessory and its installation is separate.

What you need. Fitting and setup.

Provide a suitable mains socket and an internet connection through Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Run an Ethernet cable to the router if using the wired route; detector cabling is not required for compatible Jeweller devices. Fit and configure any SIMs, mount the hub on SmartBracket, then add and test each detector and siren. Check radio coverage before fixing devices permanently. A qualified alarm installer should design the coverage, set delays and test the complete system. Monitoring and mobile subscriptions are separate services.

A credential, not a remote control.

A Tag presents access credentials; it does not have SpaceControl remote-control buttons. Pack size changes the quantity supplied. Disable any lost Tag and keep access permissions limited to the user need.

Use a compatible reader keypad and Ajax hub. Enrol and assign each Tag, test it on the intended keypad and explain the agreed access procedure to the user.
