Connection and expansion

The supplied Hub supports Ethernet and mobile communication. Ethernet provides the wired internet connection; mobile communication needs an active compatible SIM and service. Check the exact Hub compatibility before adding optional devices.

Expand with compatible devices for the supplied Hub. Do not assume that a product supported by Hub 2 also works with this Hub.

Plan the installation

Plan the rooms, openings and entry/exit route before fixing the devices. Install the Hub indoors with its specified power supply and Ethernet connection. Check radio signal strength at every device location, then follow the matching detector placement and pet-immunity guidance. Configure users, notifications, entry/exit delays and siren behaviour, and test every detection point and communication path. A competent alarm installer is recommended for design and commissioning; any required fixed mains work should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Not automatically. A kit is a starting set with a fixed number of devices. Plan the rooms, doors, windows and entry routes, then add compatible devices where needed.

A keyfob is a portable local control, while a keypad is fitted in a convenient location. Both work alongside the Ajax app in the packages listed here. Contactless card or tag control requires a specifically compatible reader.

No paid mobile service or monitoring contract is itemised in these packages. Arrange any required service separately and check compatibility with the exact hub.
