The CL505 is part of the Codelocks CL500 series and are front and back plates only, they are for use with an existing mortice latch or lock.

The existing lock must have either a fixing hole (22mm) below follower (spindle) or two horizontal holes either side of the follower (38mm centres).

Clean by Codelocks is an optional finish available to special order on many Codelock products. The clear coating combats SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus (COVID-19) and can reduce bacterial growth by 99.96%*, providing an additional measure of protection over sanitisation. Clean by Codelocks features an ISO certified photocatalytic coating which offers enhanced protection against viruses, bacteria, germs and other environmental toxins. Keep the lockcase, change the access furniture

The 500/505 format is furniture for an existing compatible lock. It is not the same package as the 510/515 supplied-latch set or the 520/525 mortice-lock assembly. Verify the lockcase's follower and through-fixing clearances; the keypad furniture operates the latch, not an unrelated deadbolt.

Fitting and setup

  • Measure the door thickness, backset and existing fixing positions against the exact model drawing.
  • Set the new code and test the outside control, inside operation and latch engagement with the door open before closing it.
