The SQUIRE SS65S 65mm Open Shackle Stronghold Padlock is the highest security padlock with a protective weather cover.

The padlock is designed to withstand harsh weather conditions but also offers exceptionally high levels of security.

Designed for use on warehouses, perimeter gates, heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and high-security doors.

Available keyed alike and master keyed

When keyed alike, these need to be ordered specially for each order, and Squire has to make them up with the Stormproof jacket. Please allow an extra 2-3 days for these padlocks. Keyed alike versions, you will only receive 2 keys in total with the order.

Most of the high security padlocks will have a rating, the CEN rating or the Sold Secure. CEN ratings for padlocks start at 2 for medium security padlocks and finish with the highest rating of 6. CEN ratings are given to padlocks that meet certain requirements and are not tested to these ratings by an independent testing facility. Sold Secure ratings are given by Sold Secure after they have tested each product under vigorous conditions, they force, cut, burn, drill, snap...etc and if the product lasts a certain amount of time or a certain level of force it gains the Bronze, Silver or Gold ratings.

Yes this is possible. We offer the ABUS Pfaffenhain range of padlocks and also we can purchase Euro Cylinder to a Kitemarked level and Rim cylinders which can all be keyed alike or Masterkeyed.

Perfect for gates and fences to prevent the padlock from falling to the ground or being stolen.

Attaches using a D shackle to connect the chain to the gate or fence.

Chain Attachment Ring fits onto the non opening side of the shackle of the padlock and prevents the chain from being removed from the padlock. The link is too tight to pass over the U shape of the shackle.


This is only suitable for padlocks that can be unassembled so NOT suitable for Closed shackle padlock, Combination padlocks or standard pre-built padlocks.

Perfect for high security padlock ranges with an open shackle.

Supplied with 0.5 meter length of 8mm link galvanised chain, Longer chain lengths available upon request.
