The Yale Reversed Angled Strike is a specialist component designed specifically for doors that open outwards. Standard nightlatch installations typically require a box or flat strike; however, when a door opens away from the internal face, a reverse bolt nightlatch must be used in conjunction with an angled strike plate like this one.

The angled design allows the latch bolt to engage securely with the frame while compensating for the door's direction of travel. This ensures that the locking mechanism operates smoothly and maintains the integrity of the door's security. It is an essential part for timber door frames where a standard strike plate would not be functional due to the door orientation.

  • Suitable for timber door frames
  • Functions with Yale and other standard reverse bolt nightlatches
  • Assists in maintaining correct alignment between the lock and frame
  • Durable construction for long-term reliability

No, this product is dedicated to outward opening door configurations. For standard doors that open inwards, you should use a standard box or flat strike plate provided with your nightlatch.

This Yale strike plate features a satin finish, offering a modern and durable appearance that coordinates well with standard door furniture and hardware.

The strike plate features two countersunk mounting holes for a secure installation. It is designed to be screwed directly into the door frame to provide a flush and stable surface for the latch bolt.
