This mains-powered FireProtect 2 detects smoke, heat and carbon monoxide and sounds an alarm locally. Its optical smoke chamber and thermal sensing provide different ways to identify a developing fire.

A compatible hub is optional for app and system functions. Correct positioning and maintenance remain essential.

Ajax Residence Line

Smoke, heat and CO. With a fixed mains supply.

Smoke and heat tell different parts of the story.

The optical smoke chamber and two thermistors provide separate sensing methods. Ajax uses dual-spectrum optical sensing and HazeFlow 2 analysis to distinguish relevant smoke signatures from common interference. That filtering does not remove the need for suitable positioning, clear air paths and routine checks.

Dual-spectrum optical sensor

Carbon monoxide needs its own sensor.

CO is an invisible gas associated with incomplete combustion, not another name for smoke. The chemical sensor provides a distinct warning when its alarm conditions are met. This model combines CO with smoke and heat sensing. Follow the exact manual for positioning relative to fuel-burning appliances and other room features.

Mains power, with a backup plan.

The AC version requires a 110-240 V AC connection, fitted by a qualified electrician. Its built-in backup battery maintains operation if mains power fails. The backup is non-replaceable: replace the detector when it is depleted.

Jeweller provides wireless communication with the alarm system; it does not remove the need for an electrical supply cable.

One detector sounds. The system can sound with it.

With compatible devices and interconnection correctly configured, an alarm can activate other fire sounders. Hub-mediated and supported detector-to-detector fallback behaviour depend on the exact devices and firmware. Agree and test the complete response; do not assume separate, unpaired alarms already communicate.

Optional connected protection. Add the roles you need.

The detector can warn locally without a hub. Hub 2 Plus adds supported app and system functions. ManualCallPoint Red is a separate, hub-dependent way to raise an alarm manually; it does not detect smoke, heat or carbon monoxide.

Ajax ManualCallPoint (Red) Jeweller

ManualCallPoint Red allows a person to trigger a configured fire alarm manually. Its resettable element avoids replacing break-glass material after a test or activation.

What you need. Fitting and setup.

A qualified electrician must provide the specified 110-240 V AC, 50/60 Hz connection. The built-in, non-replaceable battery is backup, not the normal power source; replace the detector when it is depleted. Follow the exact manual for positioning, testing and maintenance. Commission any hub connection and interconnection, and have the installation design checked for the property.
