This replaceable-battery FireProtect 2 detects carbon monoxide and sounds an alarm locally. Its electrochemical sensor detects carbon monoxide, an odourless gas that a smoke-only alarm cannot detect.

A compatible hub is optional for app and system functions. Correct positioning and maintenance remain essential.

When ordering multiple Keyed Alike locks, only 1 set of keys are provided as all additional locks are made to work from that key.

If ordering 4 or more keyed alike locks you can have them set up as different groups. If Required: Let us know the details in the "Specific Key Requirements" field above.

Carbon monoxide detection is separate from smoke detection and does not detect every type of gas. This model does not detect smoke. A compatible Ajax hub adds app notifications and configured system functions. Local standalone detection does not require a hub; interconnected behaviour depends on the model, firmware and commissioning.

Let the other alarms know. Interconnection needs commissioning.

With primary interconnection enabled, a detector sends an alarm to the hub, which starts the other configured fire sounders. Compatible FireProtect 2 units can also support a fallback radio alarm between detectors if the hub link is lost. Fallback requires firmware 5.59.2.xx or later, the marked supporting hardware and proper setup. Do not assume separate unpaired detectors automatically interconnect.

Fit the detector on the specified bracket; there is no mains cable to run. Use only the specified replacement batteries when required. Placement must suit the hazards, room and exact detector manual. Test the alarm after installation, configure any hub connection and interconnection, and follow the maintenance schedule. A competent installer should confirm the design meets the requirements for the property.
