The ABUS H712 is designed for group lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures and can accommodate up to six padlocks at once. This ensures that a machinery energy source remains isolated until every individual team member has finished their task and removed their personal lock.

The hasp features interlocking jaws with a 38mm (1.5 inch) internal diameter, making it suitable for larger energy isolation points. It is constructed from high-tensile steel for maximum strength and durability in industrial environments.

Unlike standard hasps, the H712 uses interlocking tabs on the jaws. This specific design prevents the device from being pried open or forced apart while padlocks are in place, providing an extra layer of security against unauthorized or accidental reconnection of power.

The lower section of the high-tensile steel hasp is finished with a red vinyl coating. This provides a non-slip grip for the user and ensures high visibility, which is essential for safety compliance and easy identification of lockout points in busy workspaces.
