The ABUS 83WPIB/53 is the best Marine Grade padlock on the market. It is completely water resistant and has been tested in the harshest weather conditions.
Used on the North Sea wind farms this padlock has proven itself to be the toughest padlock against rust and corrosion.
The body is covered in high impact plastic with shackle seals and keyway cover cap to offer total water protection.
The body of the padlock has vinyl protection over a chrome plated brass body for maximum weatherproofing. The shackle is stainless steel which offers absolute protection against any elements.
The 83WPIB/53 is available keyed alike or masterkeyed to any other padlock in the ABUS 83 series.
This padlock has undergone the most intense tests to prove itself the most water resistant/proof padlock on the market. Dipped in a salt bath for 180 hours (equivalent of 40 years in salt water areas) the padlock still worked perfectly.
