GlassProtect U recognises the sequence of low-frequency impact and high-frequency breaking sounds. It adds acoustic detection where an opening contact would not identify a broken pane.

Glazing type, curtains, room acoustics, distance and the sound path all affect positioning. Check the exact manual and test the installation. It is not live audio monitoring, a general sound sensor or a detector for every impact on a window.

Part of a complete alarm. Connect the detection to a response.

A compatible hub is required; Hub 2 Plus is our main residential choice. A keypad adds local control and a siren adds an audible warning. These are separate system components, not alternative detectors.

No. This is an Ajax alarm-system detector and needs a compatible hub. Sirens and any monitoring service are separate parts of the installation.

No signal cable is required for the wireless Jeweller connection. Battery and any optional external-device wiring must follow the exact model manual. Test radio coverage before permanent fixing.
