Detection and a camera in one enclosure.

The PIR sensor detects movement; the built-in camera provides an animated sequence of alarm photographs. HDR balances contrasting light and infrared illumination supports photographs in darkness. The hardware illustration shows the separate sensing and imaging parts, rather than implying that this is a continuous-video camera.

The camera records a short sequence when the alarm is triggered. HDR helps retain detail in scenes with bright windows and darker interiors.

This MotionCam U provides alarm verification, not photographs requested at any time. The PhOD version adds permission-controlled on-demand and supported scenario photographs.

A compatible hub is required; Hub 2 Plus is our main residential choice. A keypad adds local control and a siren adds an audible warning. These are separate system components, not alternative detectors.
