Fitting Guide
Tools: a tape measure, pencil, spirit level, low-tack masking tape and a soft cloth.
Before you start
Lay out the complete house number and any letter on a table first. Check the character order, spacing and actual sizes, then try the arrangement against the door with the adhesive backing still covered. These characters are self-adhesive, so no drilling or screws are needed.
Fit and check
- Choose a smooth, sound surface suitable for the supplied adhesive. Clean it with a method compatible with the door finish and let it dry completely; do not stick over loose paint, dirt or moisture.
- Use a level strip of low-tack tape as an alignment guide. Check the complete layout from a distance and confirm the door still clears nearby hardware.
- Peel the backing from one character at a time without touching the adhesive. Align carefully before contact, then press firmly as directed by the supplied adhesive instructions.
- Remove the temporary alignment tape and check every character is secure. Follow the adhesive supplier’s setting-time and temperature instructions before cleaning or disturbing it.
