This battery-powered FireProtect 2 detects smoke and heat and sounds an alarm locally. Its optical smoke chamber and thermal sensing provide different ways to identify a developing fire.

A compatible hub is optional for app and system functions. Correct positioning and maintenance remain essential.

RB uses replaceable batteries; SB uses a sealed battery for its specified service life. The image shows the RB arrangement. Both need routine tests.

The detector can warn locally without an alarm hub. An optional hub adds app alerts and supported connected functions; these need separate commissioning.

Let the other alarms know. Interconnection needs commissioning.

With primary interconnection enabled, a detector sends an alarm to the hub, which starts the other configured fire sounders. Compatible FireProtect 2 units can also support a fallback radio alarm between detectors if the hub link is lost. Fallback requires firmware 5.59.2.xx or later, the marked supporting hardware and proper setup. Do not assume separate unpaired detectors automatically interconnect.

Match protection to the hazard. Different sensors do different jobs.

Smoke, heat and carbon monoxide are not interchangeable hazards. Compare the sensing functions, then have the siting and coverage checked for the property. The RB/SB Model option changes battery maintenance, not the hazards detected. Mains-powered AC models are listed separately.

ManualCallPoint Red allows a person to trigger a configured fire alarm manually. Its resettable element avoids replacing break-glass material after a test or activation.

What you need. Fitting and setup.

No mains cable is required. RB models use two replaceable CR123A batteries; SB models have sealed batteries and the complete detector must be replaced when they are depleted. Follow the selected model's positioning, testing and replacement instructions. For a hub-connected installation, check Battery Life Optimization and commission the radio link and interconnection.
