Hub BP connects compatible Ajax alarm devices at sites where a normal powered internet connection is impractical. Two mobile SIM slots provide the cloud connection; this is a distinct battery-powered hub, not a Hub 2 Plus option.

A compatible system and correctly planned installation are required; see fitting guidance below.

Battery Saving mode extends autonomy by changing the way the hub communicates. Runtime depends on the battery, signal and settings. Internal and external batteries are separate purchases, so the power plan must be chosen alongside the hub.

Hub 2 Plus is our main choice for a home: Ethernet, Wi-Fi and mobile backup in one hub. Hub 2 (4G) is a smaller-capacity alternative without Wi-Fi. Hub BP is the specialist battery-powered option for sites without a suitable mains supply. These are alternatives, not three hubs needed together.

Provide a supported internal or external battery, compatible SIM service and reliable mobile reception. Fix the hub in a suitable protected location and test device coverage before final mounting. Configure Battery Saving mode with the installer and understand its communication limitations. Do not connect an arbitrary charger or power supply.

Yes. It changes communication behaviour to extend autonomy. Review the exact mode limitations with the installer rather than expecting the same continuous connectivity as a mains-powered hub.

Actual autonomy depends on mobile signal, hub settings, connected devices and temperature. Battery Saving mode changes communication behaviour, so headline runtime should not be treated as a promise for every installation.

Fit only in the supported Hub BP arrangement, observe polarity and follow the installation manual. Do not charge a non-rechargeable battery. Arrange safe replacement and battery disposal when required.

Use only the specified charging method and compatible charger. Install in the supported hub arrangement with correct polarity and cable routing. Agree a maintenance schedule and monitor battery condition in the system.
