Hub 2 (4G) is the smaller-system alternative to Hub 2 Plus. Ethernet and two mobile SIM slots keep compatible detectors connected to the Ajax app. It supports photo verification, but has no Wi-Fi connection.

A compatible system and correctly planned installation are required; see fitting guidance below.

When ordering multiple Keyed Alike locks, only 1 set of keys are provided as all additional locks are made to work from that key.

If ordering 4 or more keyed alike locks you can have them set up as different groups. If Required: Let us know the details in the "Specific Key Requirements" field above.

Each group of locks will then receive keys.

Ajax Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller

Ethernet first. Mobile backup ready.

Hub 2 (4G) connects to a router by Ethernet and provides two SIM slots for cellular communication. It does not have Wi-Fi. Using different mobile providers can add resilience where coverage permits; a SIM needs an active service. This is a mains-powered hub with a backup battery, not a battery-only remote-site control panel.

Hub 2 Plus is our main choice for a home: Ethernet, Wi-Fi and mobile backup in one hub. Hub 2 (4G) is a smaller-capacity alternative without Wi-Fi. Hub BP is the specialist battery-powered option for sites without a suitable mains supply. These are alternatives, not three hubs needed together.

An alarm you can check visually.

With compatible MotionCam detectors, the hub passes alarm photographs to authorised Ajax users and a configured monitoring service. The camera is in the detector, not the hub. Choose a photo-on-demand detector only if that additional checking function is wanted; normal alarm photo verification and live CCTV are different capabilities.

Manage rooms without managing several alarms.

Give detectors useful room names, assign users and divide protection into security groups. The app shows the device and area involved in an event, while you can adjust and test the system remotely. Hub 2 (4G) supports up to 100 devices and nine groups; Hub 2 Plus offers more expansion capacity.

Build around the property. The different roles in an alarm.

Detectors report events, a keypad provides local control and a siren adds an audible warning. These are complementary roles, not four alternative hubs. Choose the devices and quantities for the property.

Provide mains power and an Ethernet connection to your router, or an active compatible SIM with mobile coverage. Two SIM slots allow an additional mobile provider; subscriptions are separate. Mount indoors, then pair and test the detectors and sirens. It is not a camera recorder.
