Q: What is the rebate for? A: The rebate is only needed on double doors that have a rebate. The rebate covers the gaps that will occur when the lock is fitted.

Union 2 lever 2295 is the most basic sashlock we sell, this is the 64mm case size: used on internal doors and outside sheds, its not designed for external security doors although it is sometimes fitted on wooden conservatory doors but we would always recommend you use a 5 lever lock on your external doors.

Union 2077 3 Lever Horizontal Sashlock is the standard horizontal lock, suitable replacement for internal locks but won't match perfectly with old Victorian locks in the home as the spindle and key hole will be in different positions.
